Aquatic Environments

The Worlds, seas. oceans, lakes, quarries, rivers and waterways are all the diving environments available to us as divers.

Each of these diverse environments may hold very different conditions and varieties of hazards and dangers for the diver.

ITDA Group International is the ONLY diving agency that restricts certifications by environment.  This simply means that if you learn to dive in a resort environment but want to dive in cold water, you will need to complete an "Environmental Diver Upgrade", to learn the safe use of a dry suit, limited visibility and Navigation techniques not included in resort training.

If you are a "Cold Water Diver", you may dive unrestricted in Resort environments, but may be restricted to depth and overhead environments.
